The best HVAC websites turn a homeowner with a failed system into a booked call; "best" is a features question before a design question.

Search it and you mostly find vendor roundups grading screenshots on taste; on October 1, 2026, we read 12 US residential HVAC homepages and recorded what each visibly does.

For layouts, speed and the sitewide picture, start with HVAC website design, the parent guide; this page is its examples layer.

How this list of HVAC website examples was built

They range from national franchises like One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning and ARS to single-market operators like Morris-Jenkins in Charlotte and George Brazil in Phoenix.

We fetched each homepage on October 1, 2026, desktop, no interaction, and recorded phone links, booking calls to action, financing, offers, and reviews.

These 12 were hand-picked, so this is a dated observation, not a sample or a ranking.

None of the 12 is a client, review counts are the companies' own displays, not verified against Google, and script-loaded widgets can be missed.

Homepages change and offers carry expiry dates, so read everything as of October 2026.

Phone links ranged from 2 (Isaac, Bonney) to 12 (Kodiak).

Booking was close to universal: 11 of 12 had an online booking or scheduling button; the exception, Kodiak, pairs a phone link with a quote form.

Financing matched it at 11 of 12; One Hour was the one homepage where no financing link turned up.

The rare feature was the dollar figure: 4 of 12 put a price, payment or discount in the homepage text (Horizon, Hiller, Kodiak, George Brazil); 5 of 12 showed a rating or review count there.

This page cannot tell you which site converts better: the homepages we read show features, not results, and an observed feature is not a measured result.

Best HVAC website design: why those features exist

Trust research explains almost every row in that table.

Nielsen Norman Group's research names four credibility factors: design quality, upfront disclosure, comprehensive and current content, and connection to the rest of the web; sites that omitted basic information were almost immediately ruled out.

Upfront disclosure means prominent contact information, what the base cost includes and any fees; participants disliked long quote forms to see a price and accepted cost ranges.

Participants trusted testimonials on external sites more than on-site ones, so link your real Google reviews; the study is qualitative, 2016, participants in Singapore evaluating local service sites, so it supports showing fees and linking reviews, not any percentage lift.

Stanford's Persuasive Technology Lab published 10 web credibility guidelines from research with more than 4,500 people: show a real organization behind the site, highlight expertise, make it easy to contact you, and use restraint with promotional content; those 1999 to 2002 studies measure credibility perception, not conversion.

Homeowners arrive holding a checklist: ENERGY STAR (EPA) tells them to check state license and insurance requirements, ask for referrals and references, expect a home evaluation, get written, itemized estimates, and sign a written proposal; a site that displays those is answering it.

Tap-to-call

12 of 12 carried at least two phone links; contact prominence is disclosure at its most basic.

Online booking

11 of 12 had a booking or scheduling button, with SMS and a 24/7 concierge as variations.

Financing

11 of 12 linked financing from the homepage, from a plain link to "0% Financing for 24 months".

Before you copy any of that proof, get the wording right.

NATE certifies individual technicians who passed its nationally recognized industry test, so the accurate claim is "NATE-certified technicians on staff", never a "NATE-certified company".

Carrier says its Factory Authorized Dealers undergo extensive training, maintain high customer satisfaction and stand behind a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee with terms; it publishes none of the thresholds agency blogs quote.

BBB accreditation is paid, requires six months in business, licensing compliance and at least a B rating; only accredited businesses may display the seal, and the letter rating is separate.

The display rules for reviews, badges and guarantees are covered in HVAC website trust signals.

HVAC website ideas to take from the 12

Almost nothing in the table needs a rebuild; these are edits.

Show the price fence: Kodiak's "$89 diagnostic fee" waived with any repair answers the upfront-disclosure test before a quote form loads.

Put a monthly number next to replacement content, as Horizon did with "as little as $106/month" and Hiller with replacements "Starting at $99/mo".

Date your offers: George Brazil's ductless discount carried "Expires 12/31/2026"; offer mechanics are covered in HVAC offers and coupons.

Give people a second way in: text-to-schedule by SMS (Morris-Jenkins) or a concierge labeled "Available 24/7" (Isaac).

Score your own homepage the way we scored these 12:

  • A tappable phone link, visible without scrolling.
  • An online booking or estimate button next to it.
  • A financing link on or near replacement content.
  • One honest number: a price, a payment example, a waivable fee, or a range.
  • A rating or review link, plus your license number.
  • Offers with expiry dates, and nothing that blocks the call path.

Every line is a hypothesis until your own numbers move, and running those tests one at a time is the subject of HVAC website conversion.

Before you spend on a new site

More Booked Installs does not sell website builds; if the table talks you into one anyway, published list prices on October 1, 2026 ranged from $25 a month (Squarespace, do-it-yourself) to $499 a month plus a $1,995 build fee (Websites for HVAC); the full rundown is in HVAC website design.

The work is one person: Gabe Meierotto ran conversion at LaserAway from 2018 to 2023, where sitewide conversion went from 3% to 11%, and before that ran click-to-call tests at Sourcely where conversion rate rose by up to 50% in some cases, his record in earlier roles, not an HVAC result.

Frequently asked questions

Which HVAC company has the best website?

We do not rank them; what we can compare is what the homepages visibly did, not how they perform. On October 1, 2026, all 12 carried a tappable phone link and 11 of 12 had online booking or scheduling.

What do the best HVAC websites have in common?

In our October 1, 2026 read of 12 contractor homepages: tappable phone links (12 of 12), an online booking or scheduling call to action (11 of 12), and a financing link (11 of 12). The rare features were a specific dollar figure in the homepage text (4 of 12) and a numeric rating or review count there (5 of 12).

What should be on an HVAC homepage?

At minimum: a tappable phone number, a booking or estimate button, proof such as a review link and your license number, a financing link near replacement content, and one obvious next step from every screen.

What does NATE-certified mean on an HVAC website?

NATE certification belongs to the individual technician who passed what NATE calls a nationally recognized industry test, so the accurate phrasing is 'NATE-certified technicians on staff', never 'NATE-certified company'.

Is a BBB badge the same as a BBB rating?

No. Accreditation is paid, requires at least six months in business, meeting licensing requirements and at least a B rating, and only accredited businesses may display the seal, while the letter rating is separate and non-accredited businesses get one too.
